Michigan Certificate RE: Applications for Attorney Fees Beyond the "No Look" Fee is a document that Michigan lawyers must file with the court when requesting additional attorney fees beyond the “no-look” fee. The “no-look” fee is the minimum fee that Michigan lawyers are allowed to charge for legal services. The application must be signed by the lawyer, and must include the lawyer's name, address, and telephone number; the title of the case; the amount of fees requested; the amount of fees previously awarded; a copy of the fee agreement, if any; and a detailed description of the services rendered and the time spent. There are two types of Michigan Certificate RE: Applications for Attorney Fees Beyond the "No Look" Fee: The Standard Form and the Individualized Form. The Standard Form is used for cases where the services are not extensive or complex and the fee requested is within the range of the “no-look” fee. The Individualized Form is used for cases where the services are more extensive or complex, and the fee requested is above the range of the “no-look” fee.
