The Maryland Financial Statement (Child Support Guidelines) is a document used by the court to determine the amount of child support owed by the non-custodial parent. It is based on the income of both the custodial and non-custodial parents, and factors such as the number of children, the amount of time spent with each parent, and the cost of childcare and medical expenses. The document consists of three different types of forms: Form CS-100, Form CS-101, and Form CS-102. Form CS-100 is the basic financial statement which lists the income of both parents, and the expenses of the custodial parent related to the support of the child. Form CS-101 is used to calculate the amount of child support to be paid by the non-custodial parent, and Form CS-102 is used to calculate the amount of temporary child support owed by the non-custodial parent while the court is determining the amount of permanent child support.
