Kentucky Articles of Organization (Domestic LLC) are the documents that must be filed with the Kentucky Secretary of State in order to form a limited liability company (LLC) in the state of Kentucky. These documents serve to declare the entity’s legal existence within the state and to inform the public of important information about the LLC. The articles must include the LLC’s name, purpose, and duration, as well as the name and address of the LLC’s registered agent. There are two types of Kentucky Articles of Organization (Domestic LLC): the Standard Articles of Organization and the Non-Standard Articles of Organization. The Standard Articles of Organization are used for most LCS, while the Non-Standard Articles of Organization are used for LCS with special requirements.
