The District of Columbia Restated Articles of Organization For Domestic Limited Cooperative Association (DORA) is a legal document that outlines the structure and purpose of a limited cooperative association registered in the District of Columbia. The DORA sets out the rules and regulations for the formation and operation of the cooperative, including the purpose of the organization, who is eligible to become a member, and the requirements for electing a board of directors. It also outlines the rights and responsibilities of the members, as well as the authority and duties of the board of directors. The DORA is designed to provide the cooperative with the legal framework within which it must operate. There are two types of DORA: the Model Limited Cooperative Association (MICA) and the Restated Articles of Organization for Domestic Limited Cooperative Association (RADICAL). The MICA is the default document used for limited cooperative associations in the District of Columbia, while the RADICAL can be adopted and amended as desired by the cooperative.
