Arizona Satisfaction of Judgment is the process of releasing an individual or business from a court judgment. This process requires the judgment creditor to file a satisfaction of judgment with the clerk of the court in the county where the judgment was originally entered. The satisfaction of judgment must include the names of the parties to the judgment, the amount and date of the judgment, the date of satisfaction, and the signature of the judgment creditor. In Arizona, there are two types of Satisfaction of Judgment: Voluntary and Involuntary. Voluntary Satisfaction of Judgment occurs when the judgment creditor agrees to release the judgment. Involuntary Satisfaction of Judgment occurs when the court orders the judgment creditor to release the judgment. The court may order an involuntary satisfaction of judgment if a payment plan is entered into or if the judgment is satisfied by a third party.
