The Alabama Section 522(f) Motion to Avoid Judicial Lien or Nonpossessory, Nonpurchase Money Security Interest and Determine Secured Status (Effective Dec. 1, 2017) is a motion that can be filed in Alabama bankruptcy courts. This motion is used to avoid the enforcement of a judicial lien or nonpossessory, nonpurchase money security interest on certain property of the debtor. The motion also allows the court to determine the secured status of such property.
