This agreement sets the terms and conditions by which a mediator will oversee the dispute, including providing a safe and confidential environment for the parties to discuss the issues at hand. This agreement also outlines the terms and conditions for how the mediator will facilitate the resolution of the dispute. Additionally, this agreement contains provisions for the confidentiality of any information exchanged during the mediation process. There are two types of Alaska Mediation and Confidentiality Agreement — Minor Guardianship: Standard and Special. The standard agreement is applicable to all minor guardianship disputes and is the default agreement. The special agreement is applicable to cases involving more complex issues, such as those involving a minor with mental health issues or disabilities, and requires additional provisions.
