The British Council's verification service is provided to individuals who are UK educational qualification holders. We verify all education, training and professional awards, including certificates, degrees and diplomas, at all levels issued by any accredited UK institution or organisation.
We will only consider resits if there are significant mitigating circumstances affecting your first 'sitting'. In these situations we still cannot guarantee that your application will be considered, but you should submit a Mitigating Circumstances form so that this can be considered alongside your application.
You may email Verification@london.ac.uk or transcripts@london.ac.uk for further guidance regarding University of London verification. You cannot verify degree data via Hedd. Please contact the university or college directly.
Your Confirmation of Study letter which is available for you to download on your student record, is intended to prove your enrolment status at King's and provide an overview of your course information. Your term-time and home addresses do appear in this letter, reflecting what is contained on your record.
If you've lost or damaged your original certificate, you can order a replacement through the King's eStore. Replacement certificates are only sent by Royal Mail; we are unable to send these by courier or in digital form. Replacement certificates can take up to 30 working days to produce.
A course completion letter is an official University letter which states that a student has completed the necessary requirements of their program. This letter is only available to students who require proof of completion of their studies prior to their scheduled graduation.
Depending on who you need to prove your student status to, you can request different types of letters: Confirmation of Student Status: a letter that proves your student status, home address (and Term Time address if applicable), and the university's term dates.
