Grant Awards. The grants will range from $10,000 to $50,000 to eligible small, for-profit businesses. The funds must be used for business-related expenses, including payroll, working capital, business rent, inventory, supplies, equipment, and other operating costs.
Do I need a Business License? The City of San Antonio does not have a general business license. The type of license or permit needed is based on the product or service you plan to provide.

This applies to federal taxes and typically state taxes, as well. You will need to report any grant funds you've received as part of your business income for that tax year.
Applicants must meet the following criteria: -The business is currently active and operating. -Business began its operation, has been legally operating and is a registered business. -The owner is the majority owner of and manager of the qualified business.
A partnership must file a separate Form 8308 for each section 751(a) exchange of an interest in such partnership. See Regulations section 1.6050K-1.
Generally, partnerships must use the completed Form 8308 as the required statement, unless the form covers more than one Section 751 exchange.
