Application for Texas Title and/or Registration, Title Transfer (Form-130-U)

Form 130-U The application is used by the County Tax Assessor-Collector (CTAC) and the Comptroller's office to calculate the amount of motor vehicle tax due. The application includes a motor vehicle tax statement section to document the following: the motor vehicle sales tax due on a Texas sale of a motor vehicle.

Application for Utah Title – Form TC-656, Application for Utah Title must be completed by the new vehicle owners. This may be completed at the DMV at the time of transfer. Safety and/or Emissions Inspection Certificates – If you plan on registering the vehicle, a safety and/or emissions inspection may be required.

If your federal adjusted gross income is less than or equal to your federal standard deduction, you are exempt from Utah income tax.

Transfer Without a Title If you've recently moved to Utah, and your certificate of title is being held by an out-of-state leasing company or lien holder, you will not be required to acquire the certificate of title in order to transfer your vehicle registration to Utah.

Homestead Declarations In Utah, you must file a homestead declaration (a form filed with the county recorder's office to put on record your right to a homestead exemption) in order to claim the homestead exemption. Contact your county recorder for information on how to file a homestead declaration.

To transfer an Out-of-State titled vehicle, bring in or mail the following to our offices: Out of State title, signed and dated by the seller(s) and buyer(s). Form 130-U (Application for Texas Title and/or Registration), signed and dated by the seller(s) and buyer(s). Proof of insurance in the buyer's name.

To claim the vehicle and title it as your own, you'll need to contact the local law enforcement agency that has jurisdiction in that area, and tell them where the vehicle is located. You also have to fill out an Abandoned Vehicle Form.

To register and title in Utah for the first time, an Application to Register/Title must be completed and required documenta- tion provided. Required documentation may include a vehicle title, bill of sale, previous registration, emission certificate or safety certificate where required.
