The State Bar of California's Committee of Bar Examiners on Friday voted 8-3 to allow bar takers to sit for the exam remotely or in test centers located in other states or countries—provided they take it at the same time as those in California to reduce the risk of cheating.

Until s/he is admitted to practice law in Arizona, an out-of-state lawyer is a non-lawyer in Arizona and as such can only engage in conduct permitted by the exemptions to Rule 31 or the multi-jurisdictional practice rules at ER 5.5.
Arizona is home to 7.4 million people, 5% of whom are licensed to concealed carry (CC). Around 398,000 CC permits have been issued in the state as of August 2021. It has reciprocity agreements with 37 states, honors licenses and permits from all 50, and the minimum age to CC in Arizona is 21.

How to become a multi-state lawyer. The two primary ways of being licensed in different states are (1) applying for reciprocity with other state's bars and (2) passing the bar exams in multiple states.
DC, Maryland, and Virginia have Bar Reciprocity which means you can pass the Bar Exam in one of those three, then get "waived in" to the other two, plus a bunch of other states. You won't be able to do it instantly upon admission to the first state, but you can get all three without having to take all three Bar Exams.
The process in D.C. is called Admission by Motion. Attorneys may be admitted through two ways. First, attorneys may be eligible if they have been admitted in any state or territory of the United States for five years immediately preceding the application for admission.
