18 U.S.C. Sec. 1015(B) FALSE DENIAL OF NATURALIZATION OR CITIZENSHIP is a federal statute which criminalizes the false denial of naturalization or citizenship. This statute includes a variety of false statements or declarations related to the acquisition or loss of U.S. citizenship. Specifically, it prohibits false statements or declarations made while applying for naturalization or revoking a prior naturalization, or when applying to restore U.S. citizenship. It also prohibits false statements or declarations related to the loss of citizenship due to a criminal conviction or other legal proceedings. The penalties for violating 18 U.S.C. Sec. 1015(B) are a fine, imprisonment, or both.
