Article 19-A Driver Notification To Employer

New York Article 19-A Driver Notification to Employer is a notification requirement for employers of commercial motor vehicle (CMV) drivers who are based in the state of New York. This notification is required whenever a driver’s driving record is checked in connection with the driver’s employment with the employer. The notification is sent to the employer within 30 days of the driver’s conviction of a disqualifying offense. The notification includes the driver’s name, address, date of conviction, type of violation, and the state in which the violation occurred. There are two types of New York Article 19-A Driver Notification to Employer: 1) Notification of Disqualifying Conviction and 2) Notification of Disqualifying Administrative Action. The Notification of Disqualifying Conviction includes information about the driver’s criminal conviction that would disqualify the driver from operating a CMV, while the Notification of Disqualifying Administrative Action includes information about any administrative action, such as a license suspension or revocation, that would disqualify the driver from operating a CMV.
