West Virginia Carrier Request for Occupational Lung Center Examination is a type of medical exam mandated by the West Virginia Workers' Compensation Commission (WV WCC). This exam is used to assess any impairment or disability resulting from a work-related illness or injury. The West Virginia Carrier Request for Occupational Lung Center Examination will include a physical exam, laboratory tests, and/or a pulmonary function test that measure the patient’s lung capacity. The physician conducting the exam will submit the exam results to the WV WCC, and the WV WCC will then determine the patient’s eligibility for workers' compensation benefits. The types of West Virginia Carrier Request for Occupational Lung Center Examination include Initial Evaluation, Follow-Up Evaluation, and Ten-Year Re-Evaluation.
