Wisconsin Statement of Informal Administration is a document that is filed with the court by an individual seeking to administer the estate of a decedent who died without a will. This document is used when the person who died did not leave a will and the individual filing does not need to go through the formal probate process. The Wisconsin Statement of Informal Administration is filed with the probate court in the county where the decedent was domiciled and includes information about the decedent, the value of the estate, and the names of the heirs. There are two types of Wisconsin Statements of Informal Administration: Form PR-1830 and Form PR-1831. Form PR-1830 is used when the estate is valued at less than $50,000 and Form PR-1831 is used when the estate is valued at more than $50,000.
