The Washington Training Agent Agreement and Understanding of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Requirements of the Apprenticeship Committee — Alternate Selection Process are a set of requirements for any apprenticeship program in the state of Washington. The agreement outlines the need for training agents to comply with EEO requirements and outlines the Apprenticeship Committee's alternate selection process for individuals who have been denied admission to an apprenticeship program based upon their race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetic information. The Washington Training Agent Agreement and Understanding of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Requirements of the Apprenticeship Committee — Alternate Selection Process includes three different types of requirements. The first requirement is for training agents to provide a non-discriminatory apprenticeship program. Training agents must ensure that their apprenticeship program and selection process is free from any form of discrimination. The second requirement is for training agents to provide reasonable accommodations for qualified applicants with disabilities. Training agents must ensure that reasonable accommodations are provided for qualified applicants with disabilities. Lastly, the third requirement is for the Apprenticeship Committee to provide an alternate selection process for individuals who have been denied admission to an apprenticeship program based upon their race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetic information. The Apprenticeship Committee will consider these individuals for admission if they are otherwise qualified and meet the requirements for the apprenticeship program.
