The Washington Declaration of Entitlement — Totally Disabled Worker Under Industrial Insurance is a document issued by the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) to a worker who has been determined to be totally disabled due to an industrial injury or occupational disease. The document entitles the worker to receive benefits under the L&I Industrial Insurance program. There are two types of Washington Declaration of Entitlement — Totally Disabled Worker Under Industrial Insurance: Temporary Total Disability (TTD) and Permanent Total Disability (LTD). The TTD declaration provides benefits for a period of time while the worker is unable to perform any type of work due to their disability. The LTD declaration provides benefits for the remainder of the worker's life. Both declarations are issued after the worker has been medically evaluated and determined to be totally disabled.
