Washington Notice of Small Claim is a document used to initiate a small claims court case in the state of Washington. It is a written notification to the defendant that the plaintiff has filed a claim with the court. The form must include the name of the court, the case number, the name of the plaintiff and defendant, the date the claim was filed, and the amount of damages requested. There are two types of Washington Notice of Small Claim: Summons and Complaint, and Statement of Claim. The Summons and Complaint must include a description of the claim, the amount of damages requested, the date of filing, and a statement that the defendant must respond within 20 days of the date of service. The Statement of Claim must include the same information as the Summons and Complaint, but does not require the defendant to respond.
