Washington Power of Attorney- Purchase is a legal document that grants someone else the authority to make purchases on behalf of the principal in Washington State. The principal is the individual who signs the Power of Attorney- Purchase document, granting authority to an agent to buy goods and services in their name. This document is also known as a “Durable Power of Attorney for Property” and it can be used for any type of purchase. There are two main types of Washington Power of Attorney- Purchase: general power of attorney and limited power of attorney. A general power of attorney grants broad powers to an agent to make purchases on behalf of the principal. A limited power of attorney grants only specific powers to the agent, such as the ability to purchase a specific item or service.
