Washington Order for Community Residential DOSE Screen and Pre-Sentence Examination per RCW 9.94A.660 (ORD OSA) is a type of court order issued in the state of Washington. It requires an offender to undergo a DOSE (Drug Offender Sentencing Alternative) screen and a pre-sentence examination before being sentenced. The DOSE screen helps the court assess the offender's risk of reoffending, while the pre-sentence examination helps the court determine the appropriate sentence for the offender. There are two types of ORD OSA: the ORDOSA-1 and the ORDOSA-2. The ORDOSA-1 requires the offender to undergo a DOSE screen and a pre-sentence examination, while the ORDOSA-2 requires the offender to undergo a DOSE screen, a pre-sentence examination, as well as a community residential evaluation. The ORD OSA order can be issued by the court at any point prior to sentencing.
