The Washington Application for Department of Revenue Clearance Certificate is a form used in the state of Washington to obtain a Certificate of Clearance from the Department of Revenue (FOR). The Certificate of Clearance, also known as a Tax Clearance Letter, is a document issued by the FOR to verify that an individual or business entity is in compliance with all of their state tax obligations. There are two types of Washington Application for Department of Revenue Clearance Certificate: one for individuals and one for business entities. The individual form is used by individuals applying for a Certificate of Clearance in order to prove that they do not owe any taxes to the state of Washington. The business entity form is used by business entities, such as corporations, limited liability companies, or partnerships, applying for a Certificate of Clearance in order to prove that they have paid all of their taxes and are in compliance with all applicable tax laws. Both forms require the applicant to provide information such as their name, address, and tax ID number.
