The Vermont Certificate of Dependency and Concurrent Employment (CDC) is a document issued by the Vermont Department of Labor that allows a person to work in two jobs simultaneously. This certificate allows the individual to receive benefits from both jobs, provided that the combined income does not exceed the maximum income allowed by the state. There are two types of CDC: One is the Dependency Certificate which is for those who have dependents and are working more than one job to support them; the other is the Concurrent Employment Certificate which is for those who work two or more jobs but do not have dependents. Both types of CDC must be obtained through the Vermont Department of Labor's website. The CDC must be renewed each year, and any change in the income, number of jobs, or dependents must be reported.
