The Vermont Judicial Bureau Motion Form is used by individuals or organizations to file a motion before the Vermont Judicial Bureau when a dispute arises in a non-criminal case. The Vermont Judicial Bureau is a state agency that hears certain civil disputes, including landlord-tenant matters, small claims, traffic violations, and vehicle forfeitures. There are two types of Motion Forms available: the Motion to Vacate and Motion to Stay. The Motion to Vacate is used to request a court order that vacates, or reverses, a prior order issued by the Judicial Bureau. The Motion to Stay is used to request a court order that temporarily stops the enforcement of a prior order issued by the Judicial Bureau. Both forms must be completed and filed with the Judicial Bureau, along with the applicable filing fee.
