Utah Party Liability is a form of legal protection that is available to those who host social events in the state of Utah. It protects the host of the event from financial liability in the event that an injury or damage occurs as a result of their negligence. There are two types of Utah Party Liability, including Premises Liability and Dram Shop Liability. Premises Liability applies when an injury or damage occurs on the property of the event host and is a result of their negligence, meaning that they are responsible for any damages that occur. Dram Shop Liability applies when an injury or damage occurs as a result of serving alcohol at the event, meaning that the event host is responsible for any damages that occur as a result of serving alcohol.
