Utah Reckless as to Result is a criminal offense defined in the Utah Code of Criminal Procedure. It is a type of reckless endangerment that occurs when a person acts recklessly and causes or creates a substantial risk of serious physical injury or death to another person. There are two types of Utah Reckless as to Result: Aggravated and Non-Aggravated. Aggravated Reckless as to Result occurs when a person acts recklessly and causes or creates a substantial risk of serious physical injury or death to another person or if the person’s reckless behavior causes serious physical injury or death to another person. Non-Aggravated Reckless as to Result occurs when the person’s reckless behavior causes or creates a substantial risk of serious physical injury or death to another person, but no serious physical injury or death occurs.
