8.36 Passing False Papers Through Customhouse (18 U.S.C. Sec. 545) is a federal offense that involves the passing of false documents in a United States customhouse. This offense is committed when a person knowingly and willfully passes, utters, publishes, or possesses a document, including a false invoice, entry, or other document, with intent to defraud the United States.
