Sec. 1030(A)(7)(C) is the definition of the term “in relation to” as used in the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. This definition states that the term “in relation to” means “in respect to” or “in connection with”. This definition is used to determine whether a particular act or activity is considered to be a violation of the Act. Specifically, if the act or activity is done “in relation to” the protected computers or networks, then it is considered a violation of the Act.
