A Tennessee Notice of Appeal is a legal document that is used to initiate the appeal of a court decision. This document is filed in the court where the initial decision was made and must be signed by an attorney who is representing the appellant. The Notice of Appeal must include the court case number, the name of the appellant, the name of the appealed, the names of the attorneys for both parties, the lower court decision being appealed, and the specific issues being appealed. There are three types of Tennessee Notice of Appeal: an Appeal from the Circuit, Chancery, and County Court; an Appeal from the Court of Appeals; and an Appeal from the Supreme Court.
