Tennessee Injunction — Child Custody is a court order issued by a Tennessee court that requires one parent to take certain action or refrain from taking certain action in order to protect the safety and well-being of a child. The injunction may be used in cases where one parent is deemed to be a danger to the child, such as in instances of neglect, abuse or domestic violence. There are two types of Tennessee Injunctions — Child Custody: Temporary and Permanent. A Temporary Injunction is issued on an emergency basis and is intended to protect the child until a full hearing can be held to determine the best interests of the child. A Permanent Injunction is issued after a full hearing and is intended to protect the child on a long-term basis.
