South Dakota Motion and Affidavit for Satisfaction of Judgment is a legal document used by a judgment creditor to ask a court to enter a satisfaction of judgment after a judgment has been satisfied in full. This document is used to prove that the creditor has been paid in full and that the judgment should be released. This document is also commonly called a "release of judgment." There are two types of South Dakota Motion and Affidavit for Satisfaction of Judgment: 1) Uncontested Satisfaction of Judgment, which is used when the debtor and creditor agree that the debt is fully paid and that the judgment should be released; and 2) Contested Satisfaction of Judgment, which is used when the debtor and creditor disagree about whether the debt is fully paid or not.
