South Carolina POSSESSION OF MACHINE is the illegal possession of a machine gun, which is defined by the state as any weapon which shoots, is designed to shoot, or can be readily converted to shoot automatically more than one shot, without manual reloading, by a single function of the trigger. South Carolina POSSESSION OF MACHINE is a Class C felony, punishable by up to 10 years in prison and/or a fine of up to $10,000. There are three types of South Carolina POSSESSION OF MACHINE: 1. Possession of a machine gun with knowledge that it is a machine gun. 2. Possession of a machine gun by an individual prohibited from doing so by state or federal law. 3. Possession of a machine gun for the purpose of sale or distribution.
