A Rhode Island Certificate of Correction to Application for Registration (Foreign LP) is a document issued by the Rhode Island Secretary of State's Office, which is used to correct errors that occurred in the original application for registration of a foreign Limited Partnership (LP) in the state of Rhode Island. The certificate must be accompanied by a filing fee and an original or certified copy of the document to be corrected. There are two types of Rhode Island Certificate of Correction to Application for Registration (Foreign LP): a Certificate of Facts and a Certificate of Termination. The Certificate of Facts is issued to correct errors in the original application for registration, such as the name of the limited partnership, its principal office address, or its registered agent. The Certificate of Termination is issued to terminate the registration of a foreign limited partnership in the state of Rhode Island.
