A Pennsylvania Supersedes Affidavit — Section 8 Tenant is a document that is used in the state of Pennsylvania to allow a tenant to remain in their rental unit as their landlord attempts to seek a court order for eviction. It is also known as a “stay affidavit” and is available to tenants who have been approved for Section 8 housing assistance. The affidavit is a legal promise made by the tenant to comply with the terms of the lease, refrain from damaging the property, and pay rent on time. It also states that the tenant will abide by any court order if the landlord is successful in the eviction process. There are two types of Pennsylvania Supersedes Affidavit — Section 8 Tenant: a Section 8 Tenant and a Non-Section 8 Tenants.
