A Pennsylvania Gun Permit is a type of license or permit that is issued by the state of Pennsylvania in order to legally own, carry, or transport a firearm. There are two types of Pennsylvania Gun Permits: a License to Carry Firearms (LCF) and a License to Sell Firearms (LSF). An LCF allows individuals to purchase, possess, and carry a firearm, while an LSF allows individuals to purchase, possess, and sell or transfer firearms. Both types of permits require a background check and completion of a firearm safety course. Both types of permits are valid for five years.
