Oregon Affidavit of Publication (Alternative Form of Service) (6A) is a legal document used by a party filing a court action to prove that they have given notice of the action to the other party or parties involved. It is an alternative form of service to direct service or service by mail. The affidavit is used when a party cannot find the other party and needs to serve them by publishing a notice in a newspaper. The affidavit must be notarized and must include the name and address of the party filing the action, the title of the action, the name of the newspaper, the date of publication, and the name of the person who published the notice. There are two types of Oregon Affidavit of Publication (Alternative Form of Service) (6A): One is used in civil cases and the other is used in probate cases.
