The Ohio Self-Insurers Agreement As To Compensation On Account Of Death is an agreement between the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) and employers who have chosen to self-insure their workers’ compensation obligations. The agreement outlines the process for employers to legally and properly provide compensation to employees or their dependents in the event of a fatal workplace injury or illness. The agreement sets out the type of benefits available, the procedures for filing claims, and the amount of benefits that can be paid out. There are two types of Ohio Self-Insurers Agreement As To Compensation On Account Of Death: the Standard Agreement and the Voluntary Agreement. The Standard Agreement is the default agreement and applies to employers who have not chosen to enter into the Voluntary Agreement. The Voluntary Agreement applies to employers who have voluntarily chosen to provide additional benefits beyond the Standard Agreement.
