New York Surrogate-P-16 RENUNCIATION of SUCCESSOR LETTERS TESTAMENTARY AND WAIVER of PROCESS (CORPORATION) is a form used to disclaim succession rights as a successor to a decedent’s estate. It is used by a party who wishes to renounce their status as a successor to the estate and waive their right to receive Letters Testamentary, which is the document issued by the court that declares the decedent's estate and appoints the executor or administrator of the estate. The party may also waive their right to receive process (notice) from the court in any matters relating to the estate. There are two types of New York Surrogate-P-16 RENUNCIATION of SUCCESSOR LETTERS TESTAMENTARY AND WAIVER of PROCESS (CORPORATION): 1) Individual Waiver and 2) Corporate Waiver. The Individual Waiver is for an individual who wishes to disclaim their rights as a successor to the decedent's estate. The Corporate Waiver is for a corporation that wishes to disclaim its rights as a successor to the decedent's estate.
