New York Certificate of Service (By Electronic Filing) is a document used to certify that a legal filing has been made electronically. The document contains the date and time of service, the name of the recipient, the name of the sender, and the type of filing that has been made. There are three types of New York Certificate of Service (By Electronic Filing): Electronic Filing of Notice of Appeal (CPR § 5521); Electronic Filing of MotionCARRR § 5522); and Electronic Filing of Other Papers (CPR § 5523). The document is to be filled out and signed by the sender, and is to be submitted to the court along with the filing.
