The types of documents accepted as New York Proofs of Identity for Registration and Title include a valid, unexpired driver license or non-driver ID issued by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV); a valid, unexpired photo ID card issued by a state or federal government agency; a valid, unexpired U.S. passport or passport card; or a valid, unexpired immigration document issued by the U.S. government.
