New York Article 19-A Add/Drop Notice Certified Examiner (CE) is a type of professional who is certified by the state of New York to issue add/drop notices for certain types of insurance policies. The CE is responsible for issuing add/drop notices in accordance with the requirements and regulations set forth in Article 19-A of the New York Insurance Law. The CE must ensure that all notices are properly prepared and filed in a timely manner. There are two types of New York Article 19-A Add/Drop Notice Certified Examiners: Certified Public Accountants (CPA's) and Licensed Insurance Agents (LIA). CPA's have the qualifications and experience necessary to properly prepare and file the notices, while LIA are licensed and have the knowledge and experience necessary to understand the requirements of the law.
