The Nevada Election of Method of Payment of Compensation For Disability Greater Than 25 is a system in which injured workers may choose to receive their disability compensation in a lump sum or in periodic payments. Injured workers must be receiving an award of compensation for disability greater than 25% to be eligible to make this election. There are two types of Nevada Election of Method of Payment of Compensation for Disability Greater Than 25: lump sum payments and periodic payments. Lump sum payments provide the injured worker with a one-time payment, and periodic payments provide the injured worker with periodic payments over an extended period of time. The injured worker must choose one of the two options when making the election.
