The Missouri Contractor's Check-Off List is a set of state-mandated requirements that contractors must adhere to when working in Missouri. This includes obtaining licenses, registering with the Missouri Department of Labor, submitting proof of liability insurance, completing a drug and alcohol test, and submitting a criminal background check. There are two types of Missouri Contractor's Check-Off Lists: the Commercial Contractor's Check-Off List and the Residential Contractor's Check-Off List. The Commercial Contractor's Check-Off List is applicable for contractors who are doing commercial projects, while the Residential Contractor's Check-Off List is applicable for contractors who are doing residential projects. Both Check-Off Lists consist of the same requirements, but the Commercial List also requires a Certificate of Professional Competency and a Certificate of Financial Responsibility.
