The Minnesota (AO88B) Subpoena to Produce Documents, Information or Objects, or to permit Inspection of Premises is a tool used by attorneys or parties to a court case to request documents, information, objects, or inspection of premises from an individual or business. This document is used to compel the production of evidence or testimony in a legal matter or investigation. This document is commonly used in civil cases, such as divorce or child custody proceedings. There are two types of Minnesota (AO88B) Subpoenas to Produce Documents, Information or Objects, or to permit Inspection of Premises: the “subpoena duces tecum” and the “subpoena ad testificandum.” A subpoena duces tecum requests documents, information, or objects from the individual or business being subpoenaed. The subpoena ad testificandum requests that the individual or business appear in court or provide a deposition or sworn statement related to the matter.
