Michigan Notary Public Application is a process for becoming a Notary Public in Michigan. The Michigan Secretary of State oversees the application process and is responsible for issuing Notary Public commissions. There are three types of Michigan Notary Public Application: Regular Notary Public Application, Electronic Notary Public Application, and Special Notary Public Application. The Regular Notary Public Application is the most common and requires applicants to submit a Notary Public Application Form, a $10 application fee, proof of identity, and a valid email address. The Electronic Notary Public Application is used for those applying for an electronic notary commission and requires the same paperwork as the Regular Notary Public Application. The Special Notary Public Application is for those applying for a Limited Service Notary Public commission and requires the same paperwork as the regular application, as well as a $20 application fee and a copy of a Limited Service Notary Public Certificate.
