The Michigan Report of Nonpayment of Restitution is a document issued by the Michigan Department of Corrections (MDC) that indicates when a person has failed to pay restitution ordered by a court. The document lists the offender's name, the date of the court order for restitution, the amount of restitution ordered, and the amount of restitution still owed. Depending on the type of restitution, the MDC may also provide additional information, such as the date the restitution was due, the amount of restitution already paid, and the amount of interest owed. There are three types of Michigan Reports of Nonpayment of Restitution: Final Report, Interim Report, and Indemnification Report. A Final Report is issued after the offender has failed to pay all the restitution ordered by the court. An Interim Report is issued when the offender has paid some restitution but not all of it. An Indemnification Report is issued when the offender has paid all the restitution, but the restitution is still owed to a victim.
