Michigan Request for Clerks Entry of Default Judgment is a document used in Michigan state courts to ask the court clerk to enter a judgment in favor of the plaintiff when the defendant has failed to respond to the complaint. There are two types of Michigan Request For Clerks Entry of Default Judgment: one used in civil cases and one used in small claims cases. The Request in civil cases must include a copy of the Summons, Complaint, and Affidavit of Default. The Request in small claims must include a copy of the Summons, Complaint, Affidavit of Default, and a completed Small Claim Affidavit. The Request must be signed by the plaintiff or their attorney and must be filed with the court clerk. Once the Request is filed, the court clerk will enter a judgment in favor of the plaintiff.
