The Maryland Certificate of Compliance for Juvenile Expungement is a certificate issued by the Maryland Department of Juvenile Services (DJs) that verifies that all requirements for juvenile expungement have been met. The Certificate verifies that the juvenile offender has not been convicted of any other crimes since the original offense and that all fines and restitution have been paid. There are two types of Maryland Certificate of Compliance for Juvenile Expungement: a Certificate of Compliance for Expungement and a Certificate of Compliance for Non-Expungement. The Certificate of Compliance for Expungement confirms that all required paperwork has been filed with the court to begin the expungement process. The Certificate of Compliance for Non-Expungement confirms that the juvenile offender has met all requirements for juvenile expungement, but the expungement will not be granted.
