A Louisiana Release by Obliged of Record is a legal document that is used to release an obliged from any outstanding obligations they may have with a debtor. This document is also sometimes referred to as a Release of Obligation or Release of Obliged of Record. It is typically used in cases where the obliged has been released from their obligation to the creditor and no longer has any responsibility for the debt. The document must be signed by both the obliged and the creditor in order for it to be valid. There are two types of Louisiana Release by Obliged of Record: General Release and Specific Release. A General Release is used when the obliged is released from all obligations to the creditor, while a Specific Release is used when the obliged is only released from a specific obligation.
