Louisiana Rehabilitation Services (LRS) is a state-funded program that provides a wide range of services to individuals with physical, mental, or emotional disabilities. The goal of LRS is to assist individuals with disabilities in achieving the highest level of independence and quality of life possible. Services provided by LRS include vocational rehabilitation, supported employment, independent living services, physical and occupational therapy, and adaptive technology. LRS also provides employment services such as job coaching, job placement, and job retention. Additionally, LRS offers career counseling, educational support, and financial assistance. There are three types of Louisiana Rehabilitation Services: Vocational Rehabilitation Services, Supported Employment Services, and Independent Living Services.
