Simplified Articles of Termination-Louisiana Corporation are a form used by a Louisiana corporation to legally end its existence. This form must be filed with the Louisiana Secretary of State in order to dissolve the corporation. The Simplified Articles of Termination-Louisiana Corporation provides information such as the name of the corporation, the date the corporation was formed, the date of termination, the number of authorized shares, the name and address of the registered agent, and the signature of the incorporated or the current registered agent. There are two types of Simplified Articles of Termination: Voluntary and Involuntary. Voluntary termination occurs when the corporation chooses to dissolve, while Involuntary termination occurs when the corporation is ordered to dissolve by the state.
